Free mulch will be available from 11 AM to 3 PM at Eldridge Park (2500 Eldridge Road). Trees may be dropped off for recycling that day from 9 AM to 1 bM. Note that citywide curbside collection of Christmas trees will take place on Sat, Dec 27, Wed, Dec 31 and Sat, Jan 3. Trees set out on any other garbage pickup day will be picked up as trash and sent to the landfill.

Keep Sugar Land Beautiful recognized for SUSTAINED EXCELLENCE by Keep Texas Beautiful
The efforts of Keep Sugar Land Beautiful to involve their citizens, businesses, schools, local government and youth to "keep their communities beautiful" won them $130,000.00 in landscaping prize money from Texas Department of Transportation for winning first place in the 2001-2002 Governor's Community Achievement Awards. KTB has recognized KSLB's continued innovation and expansion of their environmental education and programing efforts by awarding the Sustained Excellence Award each of the last two years.
In 2002 Keep Sugar Land Beautiful (KSLB) participated in over 150 area programs reaching an estimated 40,000residents. KSLB's 2,300 dedicated volunteers contributed over 10,000 hours of time and energy towards keeping Sugar Land a safe and enjoyable place to live and work.
KSLB is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to beautifying the Sugar Land area and educating citizens about litter control, recycling, responsible waste management and beautification.

Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
