Born in 1949, Hal Pluche is a native of New Orleans. Working in the field of graphics design since 1971, Hal's work has been highlighted in PRINT Magazine's national juried competition. He has also received awards in juried competitions from professional graphic arts associations in New Orleans and the Southern Region.
Hal's work is virtually unknown in the field of fine arts.
Hal has a special fascination for 'what makes us tick'... how we relate... why we think and do the things we do.
The drawings in this series are all about 'relationships'... the interaction of graphic elements. They are simply "expressions" in line, shape and color. Not intended to be understood, the idea is simply for you, the viewer, to relate to the elements... to notice if they impact you in a way that you somehow appreciate.
"It was a special honor that ArtView's Executive Director reacted to these drawings by saying, "Ahhhhh...EYE CANDY!"
